Description
AE3004 explores the organic beauty of nature, erosion, and the passage of time. Inspired by the rugged landscapes of the American Southwest, Zach Touchon creates a richly textured composition that evokes weathered stone, oxidized metals, and surfaces transformed by the elements.
Layers of burnt sienna, rust, warm earth tones, and muted blue-gray interact through spontaneous gestures and atmospheric transitions, creating a sense of depth and natural movement.
Rooted in Abstract Expressionism, AE3004 embraces the philosophy of letting go, allowing intuition, materials, and chance to guide the creative process. Rather than representing a specific landscape, the painting captures the feeling of nature itself—raw, imperfect, and constantly evolving.
