Monoplastic 2020 explores the relationship between line, form, and space through a bold interplay of geometric structures. Intersecting white lines move across deep black forms, creating an intricate composition that balances precision with spontaneity.
Rooted in Zach Touchon's theory of Monoplasticism, the work reimagines traditional geometric abstraction through an intuitive, abstract expressionist approach. Overlapping forms create a sense of movement and depth, inviting the viewer to explore the shifting relationships between positive and negative space.
Architectural yet expressive, the composition reflects Touchon's ongoing pursuit of a visual language in which simplicity and complexity coexist.
